Where are we economically after the Corona crisis?

TOPIC

'With the banking crisis I spontaneously found my way into economic reporting.
This is no different after the Corona crisis.
Finding the right images in the financial and economic news is the big challenge.
I also reach a very diverse audience that demands clarity. As a result, I have to explain what credit rating agencies are, for example, without falling into pre-school level.'
“It is an extreme privilege to be on the front row at major events.
That this means that I don't have a 9 to 5 job, I'm happy to assume. Although I, as a born control freak, had to learn to deal with that. At first I couldn't go to sleep until I heard the midnight news, so I had some idea what to expect the next day.
I can now let it go better at night.
Even on holiday I can keep my distance for the first few days.
After that it starts to itch again and I can no longer resist the temptation to follow current affairs via my iPhone.'

PROFILE

Michaël Van Droogenbroeck completed his secondary education in Brussels and studied sociology at the KU Leuven.
Shortly after his studies, he was affiliated with the Catholic University of Brussels as a scientific assistant.
Since 2005, he has worked as a journalist and reporter for the television news service of the public broadcaster.
His first assignment was to rework foreign news reports from news agencies. He then worked for the editors of 'Terzake' for several years.
In 2007 he switched to the editorial board of 'Het Journaal', where he was involved in political reporting.
Since 2010 (due to the transfer of Paul D'Hoore to VTM and following the European sovereign debt crisis) he has specialized in financial and economic news.
In October 2010 he published the book 'Kan De Wever wat Yvs Leterme niet kan?'  ('Can De Wever do what Leterme can't?'), in response to the difficult government formation in Belgium after the elections of June 2010.
Since September 8, 2013, he alternates with Steven Rombaut presenting a weekly closing economic section in the program The Free Market.
